The field of planning in Israel is currently facing major challenges that require innovative solutions. However, research and the academic community do not fully address the demands and challenges faced by decision-makers and professionals in urban planning. The goal of the annual conference is to deepen the connection between theoretical research and professional practice in urban planning. This event will emphasize the presentation of cutting-edge and breakthrough research alongside innovative tools that leverage GIS, urban data analysis, and artificial intelligence.

During the conference, awards will be presented in three categories to promote and encourage the field of urban planning in Israel, in accordance with the values and legacy of Yoav Leventer. During the event, the list of final nominees in each category and the names of the winners will be announced. The awards are intended for planners and architects from the public and private sectors who have led initiatives with professional, research, and practical innovation and impact in the fields of city, society, and planning discourse in Israel. The Leventer Laboratory for Urban Planning and Design will present the awards in partnership with Systematics Ltd., and the family.
